In the first quarter of 2022, the top five photo and video applications on the unified platform in Latin America demonstrated diverse performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Instagram experienced significant fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at around $7.9K and peaking at approximately $19K by the end of January. Downloads showed a general upward trend, reaching about 2.3M in mid-March. Active users remained fairly stable, hovering around 192M throughout the quarter, with a slight increase to 193M by the end of March.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream maintained a strong revenue stream, starting at $683K and ending the quarter at around $764K. Weekly downloads saw a slight increase from about 677K to 612K. Active users also saw a consistent rise, starting at 296M and ending the quarter at nearly 300M.

Google Photos: Backup & Edit showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at $94K and peaking at approximately $120K by the end of February. Downloads followed a similar trend, beginning at 265K and reaching around 298K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 90M and 92M.

CapCut - Video Editor had no reported revenue but saw a steady number of downloads, starting at 1.2M and stabilizing around 931K by the end of March. The app's active users showed a slight decline, moving from 8.6M to about 8.4M throughout the quarter.

Picsart AI Photo Video Editor experienced a significant drop in revenue from $169K to around $163K. Weekly downloads were initially high at 1.5M but settled at around 403K by the end of March. Active users also saw a notable decline, starting at 14M and dropping to approximately 10M.
